Welcome to our home on the prairie.  Black Butte Adventures is a hiking/biking and agriculture tourism destination near Sawyer, North Dakota.  The Effertz Family invite you to visit our region and stretch your legs while learning about our areas history, agriculture and native prairie.

As we near the close of the season (November 1) we want to thank all bikers, hikers, dogs and tourists that visited our humble part of the prairie.  We look forward to seeing you again in 2009.
