It amazes me how fast time can go when you are having fun.  We are nearing the end of the 2008 season (we will be closed November 1) and we have met so many talented and friendly people.

From our weekend guest that let us barge into her time to share a campfire with extended family - meanwhile teaching us a little about the stars - to visitors from Norway and school tours.  We enjoyed everyone and hope they were able to take a better understanding of the prairie, agriculture and North Dakota home with them.

I especially enjoyed the Trini-Tots daycare group this spring as my "Mountain Men" climbed Black Butte and declared this the 'best day of thier life.'  I'm sure they had many more best days since then, but it definately made my day.

We are looking forward to another exciting year in 2009.  There will be an addition to the family by then as Michael and Maria are expecting in December.  One more person to enjoy the campfires, smores and sandbox - plenty of room on the prairie for everyone.

If you want to plan ahead for next year, please don't hesitate to call.  We should be open early April unless Mother Nature throws us a sneaky one, so mark your calendars.  We are ALWAYS open for comments and suggestions and just thoughts on how the prairie has made a difference in your life.

Happy Trails - Jerry, Norma and Kayla Effertz, Maria, Mike, Wyatt (and baby sister) Hanson
