Spring is a very noisy place on the prairie.  The Canada Geese have quieted thier perpetual honking and found mates and are looking for homes but the variety of ducks that call North Dakota thier summer residence are still working thier way north.  Thier "V" patterns are still visible in the early morning and evenings as they spread their wings and remind us that nature is still incredible.

We have seen two North American Bald Eagles near the trail and a variety of other predator birds are scouring the land for food.  It's amazing how fast the prairie land turns from brown to green in the spring,  If you blink, you miss the first purple crocus.  Don't worry - before long there will be a flower on every hill.

The creek is covering the banks, so if you decide to venture out, be prepared to get your feet, ankles and knees a little wet.  We will be working on another water crossing this year in order to keep visitors interested and give the kids more places to explore!

Enjoy the early days of spring.  Visit the prairie and enjoy the noise.
